On 25 February 2026, a dissemination event for the Erasmus+ project “MentorScape: Crafting Bias-Free Classrooms in Europe” was held in Bulgaria, bringing together primary school teachers, education professionals, and local stakeholders.
The event aimed to present the key results of the project, with a strong focus on the Bias-Free Classrooms Teacher’s Handbook and the Mentorship Program developed to support teachers in recognising and addressing bias in the classroom. Participants were introduced to practical tools designed to promote inclusive teaching practices and improve student engagement across diverse learning environments.
During the session, teachers explored examples of classroom situations where unconscious bias may appear and discussed strategies for ensuring fair participation, equitable feedback, and inclusive representation in teaching materials. Special attention was given to the mentorship approach, which encourages peer learning and collaboration among educators.
Participants showed strong interest in applying the tools in their daily practice and highlighted the importance of continued professional support in this area. The event also provided an opportunity to share experiences from the pilot testing phase, where teachers reported increased awareness and confidence in addressing bias.
The dissemination event confirmed the relevance of the MentorScape results for the Bulgarian educational context and contributed to promoting more inclusive and reflective teaching practices.
