Final Partner Meeting of the MentorScape Project Held in Spain

On 16 February 2026, the final transnational partner meeting of the Erasmus+ project “MentorScape: Crafting Bias-Free Classrooms in Europe” was held in Spain. The meeting was hosted by Jumping Local Projects and brought together representatives from partner organisations in Bulgaria, Portugal, Türkiye, and Spain.

The purpose of the meeting was to review the overall project implementation, present the results achieved at national level, and coordinate the final reporting phase. Partners shared insights from the pilot testing of the teacher training programme and reflected on the impact of the developed tools within their respective educational contexts.

One of the key achievements of the project is the development of the “Bias-Free Classrooms Teacher’s Handbook”, a practical resource designed to help primary school teachers recognise and address both conscious and unconscious bias in the classroom. In addition, the project successfully designed and implemented a Mentorship Programme, equipping teachers with strategies to foster inclusive, fair, and supportive learning environments.

During the meeting, partners also engaged with local education stakeholders and organised a public presentation of the project results. Teachers, community representatives, and local officials were introduced to the handbook and mentorship methodology, and discussions focused on how these tools can support inclusive education practices at local level.

Partners highlighted that the transnational cooperation significantly enriched the project by enabling the exchange of diverse perspectives, experiences, and best practices. The collaboration ensured that the developed resources are adaptable to different educational systems and cultural contexts across Europe.

The meeting concluded with a shared commitment from all partners to continue using and promoting the project results beyond the official project lifetime, ensuring long-term impact and sustainability.

The MentorScape project reinforces the importance of empowering teachers as key agents of change in building inclusive and bias-aware classrooms across Europe.
